MCM & Different, those CF bolstered wood handle pictures look good enough to use a your screen saver.

too bad I'm an awful photographer. Those Ritters look way better in person. 0 -
My favorite "gentleman's" Benchmade is a 707 or a 531.
I actually have a 707-701 limited edition, so it is a little dressier than the standard 707.
I also have a 530-111 Gold Class, that is my faniciest knife, and a 531-132 Gold Class that is very fancy also.
A custom Mini Griptilian makes a very nice Gentleman's knife, as does a 586.0 -
My favorite gentleman's folder is the 960.
The options for the blade material is D2, 154CM, S30V and DM and the inlays are real Mother of Pearl, G10,CF or synthetic MoP. The other reason is how thin the folder is.
The other gentleman's folder is the 921 with a modified wharncliff blade and a small second blade for cleaning under my nails or small jobs.
Both are Osborne design.0 -
I just ordered a 531 for the job. 0 -
Thanks fellas. This was suppose to make my choice easier. Im now up to 3 or 4 more knives Im adding to my must have list.. 0 -

Glad we could help.
I just learned something new these past few days, when you change the pocket clip position to tip down on the AFCK , with a bit of angle on how it rides and the upward sweep of the knife makes it very comfortable to carry IWB.
One AFCK IWB is worth two gents knives in the pocket

Yes indeed. This, I know. AFCK/TSEK has not only been on my list, its at the top. Have the two 800's...I wont carry, preservation sake. I tried IWB w/ pistols and knives...I just cant do it..most uncomfortable for me. Dont really like anything strapped to my belt either to be honest. So much so I bought an expensive shoulder rig, years ago for a 4" commander..used it a few times...gifted it. Took me years as a young man to get used to wearing a watch on my wrist...could be Im nuts as well.
I do very much like MCM's "jeans" choice of carry. Most excellent. M390...looks great, even on a user. The couple of M2's I have...Im hesitant to use, out of fear of beating up the coating, IDK.
Am seriously looking for around a 3". 94x is tough to beat. Had one for a short while...always plan on another. The 690 has been added to my list. Always respected Lasers high opinion of 'em...this thread sealed the deal. Was on the fence about the 482..not any more, made the list as well.0 -
Well, just wait. You'll eventually have about 10 ideas. LOL. That's what I love about these threads. 0 -

lol...yea, yea,,I know..
Oh yea...the -1 Shoki and the 707/705 were already on the list...Just have to be conservative w/ my ammo..(meaning $)0 -
I see that the 960 and the 921 won the Benchmade Bracket Battle. The next round will be tougher. 0 -
The 440 is an amazing little knife, had one twice and wish I had kept one of them to this day, light as a feather. 0 -
Patrick, just get a forum Rift and call it done.
Of course many of these suggestions depend on whether or not you're going to be around "polite company." And whether or not you care if they give you a funny look. LOL0 -

If I only hung with "polite company", I wouldnt have any friends...and Im used to getting funny looks.
As far as being "done w/ it"...when Im in the ground....maybe.0 -

I would have to say the ultimate gents folder to me is the 940-121 I picked up from PM! This thing is top notch and disappears in pocket. 0 -
In light of new models, you gotta consider the 698 Foray.
...and I'd have to stack that up closely with the 490 Amicus.
Maybe you consider the new 765 gentlemanly?
Also, a custom shop Mini Barrage with some G-10 scales and 20CV blade would be interesting, or even a standard 586.
Or, if you open to something mid-size, go for the ultimate dress user, the 908-161.
