Ahhhh, now I know where those clips were destined.
I saw so many other cool items when I walked though there, this 'lowly' clip got paid scant attention.
Mind you, I did not see that finished form (which looks great now that I see it), only in the raw.
I am loving it, hopefully we see on on more knives in the near future.

You know, it just occurred to me that when the Benchmade special projects folks go to work on something like this, they actually get paid a salary plus benefits, while a custom knife maker is usually only doing it for love and a cheeseburger now and then. Could account for some of the price on these Gold Class super LEs. By my calculations, most "custom knife makers are making little more than minimum wage...sure, some are making a good living, the ones with collaboration deals, and two year waiting lists, but that is a small minority, I think. 0 -
I actually really like this model. In terms of materials and finishes, it is in line with my ideal for a high-end knife, a knife that is clearly extraordinary, but at the same time you can use it moderately without destroying the exceptional nature of it. Damasteel is pretty, and it is certainly very good in terms of durability. Again, perfect for the ideal of something extraordinary, and highly functional for moderate use.
If I could get one for under $700, I'd be very tempted. I think there would be a strong value argument there, particularly wrt my knife values. I'd still have to get someone to make a quality back spacer for it though. Standoffs on a Gold Class knife? Cack!

Agreed. It's nice. Every material I want all in one. Price is a bit high, but with these limited editions especially at only 200, it's kinda the norm as of late. If it was a reg GC, I'm sure the price would be a bit lower.

Is the posted weight correct? Ti bolsters added 3.24 oz over a plain G10-scaled 710? Yowsa.
