Straight out of the box.



Slight modification, not yet finished.

What it looks like beneath the skin.

It's almost what the mini grip should be.

  Thanks for sharing the pics, liking the looks of the build of it.
  
  But I have to ask, what mods? I'm not seeing any difference in the 2 pictures...

  Did you stonewash the blade? I'm a newbie so probably missing it. Maybe something with the axis lock????

  The blade comes stonewashed. I think he took out the recurve.

  Indeed, it was a pretty subtle change which is why it took me a while to spot the difference.

  Lightning thanks for asking. I was going to but I was afraid it was something really obvious. I never looked at the blade shape.

  How did you eliminate the recurve? That is the one thing holding me back from getting the two Axis knives in the Hunt series.
  
  And I agree: these two are what the Grip series should be.

  Sorry for the late reply, been a while since I checked in.
  
  I just used my 6x2 coarse diamond flat stone on the back part for most of it, being very careful. A small diamond file woulda been easier, but couldn't find mine.
  
  Lay the knife on a white piece of paper. Cover various parts of the blade with white paper to make a straight edge, there's a few ways to do it. Pick the one you want, and go to work - be patient.
