Question about Ares 732 variations
Please help me to find out how many variations of Ares 732 were in production.
I have 732 (plain-satin), 732BK (plain-coated) and 732SBK (serrated-coated). Does anyone know about 732S (serrated-satin)? Was 730S ever in BM catalog?
I saw few times Ares with black G-10 and serrated satin blade, but there was no "732" number under the butterfly logo - which made me thinking about blade replacement from 730S or 735S.

The only 730S that was in the catalog was the red/black version. Also, the KOTM 730S with the black scales. I did pick up a knife with a box marked '730S', but it has black scales. Don't know if the scales were replaced at the factory by the previous owner, or if the original owner swapped them. To my knowledge, there was never a 732S in the catalogue.
Here's the one I own:
The blade is identical to the KOTM Ares, but doesn't have the April 2000 etch on the blade.0 -
In the catalogues 2004 + 2005 there were only the 732BT and the 732SBT, no satin version.
@Mark: Hi, is your 732 plain satin marked on the blade with "732" ?
Greetings

My PE 732 satin is marked 732 on the blade. These weren't cataloged either, as they were an unnumbered run made for Moteng. 0 -
+1...Mine (satin PE 732) is the same, unnumbered. 0 -
There was a 732BT also. It's probably near identical to your 732BK, just an earlier version. This one I picked up before it actually became a normal catalog item. 0 -
Sorry for the late response!
All my four 732's are marked on the blade with "732", with no "ELISHEWITZ" on the other side.

The earlier "elishewitz" stamped 732's didn't have the 732 under the butterfly. The later non-Elishewitz knives may or may not have the 732 designation.
732BT Elishewitz
732BK
732 plain edge 'Moteng'
And my user 732 plain edge 'Moteng'
And another coated 732BT non-Elishewitz0 -
Thank you for sharing those great photos! 0 -
I feel very lucky to own this variation Mark. It's a hard one to find now: 0 -
Anyone have an idea of how many of the "Moteng" 730's produced? 0 -
Agony, thank you for information! Let's copy it to my thread about Ares. 0
