I never noticed this before either. Nice catch, Jan. Mine have different fonts too.
The font used for #361 is just like on your 363
The font used on 448 is just like on your 43.0 -
I need to buy a stone washed mini to go with my Ti grip that's in the mail. I sure wish I had the option to buy a M390 version.....

I have a M390 Mini but it is not a Ritter.
Search for #72 removed from my sig. Short version, the guy selling it was contacted by someone who claimed to be the rightful owner of the knife and apparently he had proof enough.
I just wrote to Doug to see if he will talk about authorizing a small batch in M390. I will report my findings, if I have any.0 -
Yeah, the M390 556 is nice, but mine gets neglected because I usually reach for my Ritter instead.Well if you dont't here back, I noticed that Mr. Ritter("critter") logged in the other day, hopefully he seen the thread and is going to suprise us with a batch

He got right back to me. He said much the same thing Roger has said about having a policy of not talking about product plans because it has backfired on them in the past. Anyone going to SHOT and can continue this buzz in the necessary ears, buzz on. 0 -
Thanks for checking. The new policy is a good idea and I love the fact that Doug and Knifeworks teamed up. 0 -
Iam sure he wants to and has ask ......its when BM gets the time. 0 -

I have been proposing this for a long time now.
Well over a year.
Will see the folks involved next week.
Oh, and with contoured G-10 scales as well, like the GC but in G-10 rather than CF.
(to keep the price down)
Now my secret is out...........0 -

OK, I'd buy one.

A Benchmade, Ritter, And Wilkins colabroation would be most excellent. Wilkins doesn't work with CF, so the only way we could get one would be with Benchmade producing it. M390 Ritter with CF Wilkinsgrips would be a dream come true.
Though I would be very happy with a G10 gold grip scale, I really do perfer the Wilkinsgrips. Especially CF ones.

Agree 100%.
Too bad Wilkins is so proud of their products.
$$$$$$$$ Not sure how many would plunk down over $200 for a Ritter Grip.
Thoughts?0 -
I think there is a market for it. Everytime some one buys a set of Wilkinsgrips it becomes a $200+ knife. With a standard 154CM mini we are looking at ~$200. If its a Ritter LE ~$300. That's at retail prices. People also paid a good amount for the gold grips.
I think the Wilkinsgrips are priced as they are because of the reletavily small production capabilities of a custom maker like Kevin Wilkins and also the euro to dollar exchange rates play a role, but I am not sure how much costs would differ with BM handling the scales at their facilties. It would probably have to be quite a large run. Maybe a full year type of thing? I really don't know.

A M390 Ritter with contoured G10 scales?! For $200?!
Definitely a no brainer for me!
I'm in!!
I really like WilkinsGrips too.
But BM's contoured G10 & CF is certainly top shelf, IMO! I think my Gold Class Ritter is absolutely fabulous!!0 -

Personally, I think the Wilkins prices are totally out of line. I have one set because a good buddy knew I was looking for the ranger green ones, and he let me have a killer deal.
I paid about $250 for a Gold Grip from our best buddy in Louisiana--and that has CF scales and an M4 blade. Those scales are way better than Wilkins IMO. If BM made a run of contoured G-10 scales that were just like the Gold Grip scales, and kept the price to under $200, that would be a homerun.
No idea how this works out in the shop, but if they've already made CF scales, can it be hard to now make a G-10 run? they already know how to do it, it's just a question of using different material, right? Again, I have no idea.
By the way, the handle on the full size Warn is awesome!!! It's G-10 and has the same texture as a Grip. Just slap a Ritter blade in that Warn handle. That would be a heckuva knife too.

Yeah, I dunno. I pass over my Ritter/gold for my Ritter/Wilkins all the time. I guess I don't like the basic shape of the stock and gold scales all that much. 0 -

Gold CF scales are a little slick, but in general, I prefer that shape to the wilkins.
This is all going to be a ymmv type of issue.0 -
I have a minigrip Wilkins G10 only because they came on a knife I wanted. I am a sucker for anything numbered 7. I am glad I have them but I doubt I would buy them now that I have experience with them.
I think the CF scales on the Gold Griptilian are about as just right as they can be. The CF price premium may be over the top though. Those scales done in G10 or Micarta would be full of WIN IMO.
I would dearly like to know what Benchmade's cost deltas are for CF versus G10 versus Noryl GTX. I would also like to know how much the Ritter name (and therefore the blade shape) adds to the cost of each knife. I do prefer the blade shape for sure and his foundation is a worthy cause to support. I just wonder, you know?
If I can have dibs on 7, I am totally in.Dibs on 7 and 9, in for two plus.
Seriously, yes I would get one. We are talking about the regular, not the Mini, yes? Because I am talking about the larger size. I have enough Minis and the more I use one, the smaller it feels. That is not a bad thing, it just is.

Want to know what a G10 Grip feels like? I just plunked down $165 for a RSK® Mk3 and I must tell you, if you have one never let Goldilocks get her hands on it. You will never get it back because it is "just right".0 -

I would ....... I have several Wilkens and all have been machined to a T.
All are super smooth with excellent fit an finish.0 -
I'd definitely pay good money for a ritter style blade in M4 or m390 with the gold class style handle. I am a fan of CF but I'm sure it'd be nice in G10 too. I'd be willing to spend more to get CF though. 0 -

I,ll sell you a Mini Ritter M-4 with Cuscudi CF scales .....pm if interested.0 -
