Bill Portland is the Microbrew Capital. We have 75+ breweries. They even have their own website. PortlandBeer.ORG I have yet to visit them all.
Yes, we have become beer snobs...because we can. The selection is near limitless.

Did You Know? We're tracking 14,970 beers from 113 breweries. Across 260 styles, these beers have an average ABV of 6.6% and an average of 43 IBUs. Did You Know?

/|\ Thanks beer info. I’m a cold soft drink guy (no coffee, beer or wine). When Mac starts a new thread “ Pepsi & Benchmades “ I am there!

One of the store displays is a AFO tribute. Love the expedient field repair on the pivot.

It was a fun time. Great to meet BMK employees and put faces to names. As well as some forum members. The demos were very informative and influenced my sharpener and 162 purchases. Shane Siebert even dropped by.

Many thanks to BMK and especially Chrystal and Austin from the Factory Store, for putting this together.

Very cool. I doubt I would have noticed that and now I am ordering one. Hard to tell if it is a Bedlam or a FIXED BEDLAM . I’m going with fixed.

Whoa, hang on there... Now there is no denying that Portland has a great beer scene. But I believe Denver might have even more local craft breweries. I have lived in both cities, (OK, just south of Portland) and I might give the nod to the Mile High city, as far as great beers. If you count the rest of the front range breweries, or compare the whole states, it isn't really even close. Edge to the Rocky Mountains.

I mean... Where do they hold the Great American Beer Festival every year?

But you won't hear me disagree at all about Blades and Knives. Oregon does it WAY better than Colorado does.

The great American beer festival lists attendance at 62,000

The oregon brewers festival lists attendance at between 70,000 to 80,000

I have never lived in Co. But i do agree they make good beer. In my younger days i drank & brewed a lot of beer. If i was not drinking a local beer it was probably from Co. With the margin of error i would have to say it would depend on the day. Further research is needed.

All you have to do is look at the medal count in the aforementioned GABF... Oregon FTW pretty much every year.

Unless it's changed recently, Hood River actually has the most breweries per capita of any city in the world.

/|\ I really have no skin in this contest ( drink Pepsi & ice tea), But last week USA Today listed top 20 biggest drinking city / towns in USA most were in Wisconsin & Minnesota. Don’t recall any towns in Oregon on the list

Haha well that's drinking. Doesn't mean they're making good stuff.
