Thought this chart might be helpful to all of us and a new BM knife buyer in particular.

Is this the best location for it? Or another already established thread within Benchmade Knives & Rescue Tools?

It does have a website address on it.
    Is that OK?
    I'm not endorsing it whatsoever!

Nice chart. I think it would have done just as well calling it a Benchmade Comparison Chart. There are some on here that I wouldn't think would be that great as an EDC and of course, they left a ton of them off. I guess they were trying to touch on the ones that are in current production...which makes sense if you are a dealer.

If the Contego, Rift and Adamas are on the list, you've gotta add the 808 Loco. Just sayin'.

Loco should absolutely be on there.
I think that picture is old.

I would like to see about four other BM's in that pic as well.

I'll give this a bump as the chart is quite interesting and might inspire some artisan to create a 2016 version...wish I had all the knives to make the chart

Thanks, Shanty for giving this thread a bump. Yes, an EDC is a personal choice. One modification I have made to mine over the years is I avoid EDC'ing knives that are big and fat. Don't get me wrong, I still use the 810 and Adamas plenty, but I rarely pack them from sun-up to sundown. My current favorite EDC is that new 908-1501. With its 3.5" blade and a handle that is less than 1/2" thick it seems to handle any job I usually encounter and it's small enough that it doesn't pull my pants down with weight or make me feel like it's too long or thick. YMMV

Funnily enough the Stryker is my most used BM.

I always have found these charts easy for comparisons.
I almost bought a Crooked River until I realized my 810-1501 Contego was just about the same size, with better steel.

I also found when I first got into buying BM's knives the chart was helpful.
And NOW it has the 808 Loco on it!

Thanks for posting the chart. Out of those, I'd probably favor the good old 710. It's big enough, but not too big. Anything as big as an Adamas or bigger I'll use, but I don't carry it very far. LOL

The 581 is a super nice knife in M390. I should carry that more.

Obviously benchmade designed all of their knives with the intent of edc except maybe the gold class knives. I can't seem to knock my 907 out of the edc slot.
