710 LE Question
Is there both a 710-1 and a 710-01? I've seen a couple of the beautiful 710-01s with brass and winewood, but also saw one advertised as a 710-1 that I think was a different model. Thanks.

So you're familiar with the beautiful 710-01, eh? Yes, it is gorgeous, and I wish the Crooked River would follow in it's footsteps with the brass and winewood.

Yes, there is an existing 710-1 model, which is a LE run of 250 in M390.
I prefer carrying this to a 710-1401, but to each his own.
Either way, the 710 truely shines in M390.0 -
Here's a list I put together a while back that shows most of the variations.

Here they are as a nice big happy family. I was hoping to complete the set, but I've since decided to set a few of them free. I'm still hoping to catch a couple of the rarer ones someday.

Wow, nice collection Corey!0 -
Thanks MF. It's nothing compared to the Ares collections I've seen on here

Marty - that 710-01 is one of the most beautiful knives I've seen. I don't imagine they come up for sale very often, but that's one I'll be keeping an eye out for.
Corey - fantastic collection. A lot of those are great looking knives as well. Thanks for sharing.0 -

Agree, the rounded spine made it almost a different knife:

Most definitely. A crowned spine is a thing of beauty that I'll never tire of. A very attractive blade feature that creates an allure all on it's own, IMO. I believe longer blades are especially elegant when sporting a crowned spine.
Especially the 710-1.0 -
A crowned spine is a small detail that adds so much to an otherwise average knife.
It say's custom, to me.
I crowned the spine on both my Crooked River and my Loco that are presently out being DLCed.
I can not wait to get these two favorite carries back.
I have two of these M390 710's with the crowned spine.
Love this feature.

I just about had a coronary, reading that.
You've just made 2 of my dreams come true - with 2 of my favorite folders.
Jealousy level rising...
Crowning and DLC coating on both the 808 and 15080 are some touches I've been really hoping hard that we'd see in an LE or Gold release, but leave it to Keyman to take matters into his own hands.
Good going.
I'll be waiting in suspense to get a look at those, Keyman.
Love your style.0 -
The crowned spine is a welcome addition to any knife IMO.
All my chef knives were crowned by my choosing and it really helps take it easy on the hands as a lot of cutting in a restraunt kitchen required your free hand to push on the spine.0
