I have been pretty lucky over the years and the few knives I have lost I have always ended up finding. It sure is annoying when they go missing. It's especially bad when it's a hard one to come by again.

Yes. I am hoping this will show up somewhere but part of me fears the worst.

    I hope it shows up!

I went through a bad period a few years a ago when I lost and had stolen 5 knives.

I have been lucky the last few years.

but instead handed it to my wife for safe keeping until I returned. At this point I am hoping it was simply misplaced but have gone through the whole house and no luck. This will have been the first knife I have lost. A 746-1201 LE #212

I gave my wife a SF Titan once to use but told her "its expensive" dont lose it ........
Well she lost it some where in the house she said......
I comb the house to no avail.
Found it a year later under , behind the night stand .......

We will be relocating and moving mid April. Hopefully it shows up then.

After reading the earlier posts I searched behind every nightstand, dresser, chest, etc.

Every time I misplace one I think of the comedian, Steven Wright. He couldn't find his socks so he called "information". When the lady answered, saying "information", he said, "Ya, I lost my socks". She said, "They're behind the couch."

Times like this, I am fully persuaded by safe queen concept. This is main reason I carry production model for EDC.

I would rather replace them from secondly market than hoping to be able to get LE in places like e-bay.

Yeah dj, sometimes my wife ... misplaces.. knife somewhere..
    Wink

Hope it turns up; hopefully there are still a couple of places you haven’t looked yet.
Never lost one myself, but a couple of years ago I was leaving a hotel ready to check out.
I had left some unwanted gear and clothes to save weight on the airline luggage allowance, when for some reason I decided to go back into the room and checked the pockets on a pair of old shorts I decided to throw.
Clipped to the pocket was my much loved Osbourne 940
    Still makes me shudder!
    Good luck

Sorry to see you misplaced your knife. I have spent hours tearing the house, garage and car apart looking for a few knives before. I found one that had slipped out in the car and snug in the space between the seat and center console. My last one I lost on a fishing trip was only a CRKT, nothing compared to the Lum LE.

Good luck and I hope you find it soon.

Good luck! Hopefully if it is in the house, it will turn up during the move?

I had an experience just like Kingfisher where I had been traveling in and out of a couple hotels, except my 940 still hasn't turned up

It's the only BM I have lost (yet) and I still keep hoping it will turn up at home in some laundry or such
    Confused

This sounds like it might turn up soon. I couldnt find a "espada XL" for a few weeks. I searched all the normal knife spots then decided to check through a stack of receipts on my desk to find a giant folder lying flat and well hidden under a stack of papers....I guess I would have found it by accident 6 mos later at tax time. So I think yours is only temporarily misplaced!

Great news! Wife called me today and said she found my knife. I can only assume that while she was packing some items it had gotten misplaced. She found it in our closet with a bunch of photos.

I bet it will feel like a new knife again to you, I misplaced one a while back and while I had had it for a good while, perhaps took it for granted; so when it turned up missing I felt pretty low about it. When it did turn back up, I fell in love with it all over again.

I lost my fav knife last summer.
    I was sooo f*****n' bummed!
    I searched for weeks.
My family and all the neighbors searched for weeks too!
It was undoubtedly picked up by a walker by.
I live on a dead end road.
With only 12 houses on the road, mine being the last. Both the knife and a letter addressed to me dropped off my vehicle and on to the grass at the edge of the road. By the looks of it, right at the end of my driveway.
The walker left my letter (with my name and address on it) and took the knife.
    I do feel your pain.

The good news is that everyone here on the BM forums were extremely helpful in finding me a replacement!
Shout out to Different for his instrumental role in this.
He was willing to sell me his own (even though he truly did not want to part with it). Fortunately, he directed me to another that was on the market at the time and well all's well that ends well.
I thank Different and the BM community for their help & support through this and many other troubling times.
You are in good company my friend.
