Nice. -1001 blade in a -801 handle?
That's exactly what I had in mind when I bought your user.
Great minds...
Hard to beat an M4 + CF combo.0 -
What if I said it's a 901 without box?lol 0 -
I love carbon fiber scales. Even more so, I love Benchmade carbon fiber scales. They know what they're doing when selecting materials. I'm a big fan of the quality of the stuff they use. So much so that I usually stray from other knife brands using CF, because to me, it just doesn't compare.
Here's a couple examples of Benchmade carbon fiber on some Limited Edition Rifts (950-1201 Forum Rift LE & 950-801 Plaza Cutlery LE):
Both are nice, but personally, I feel the glossy sheen of the CF used in the -801 is BEAUTIFUL!.

/|\ Mac, agree glossy CF looks better but I prefer BKC's matte finish as it provides better grip. 0 -
I didn't know there was more than one option for CF. The only examples I've felt were the forum 810 and the 940-1 which don't appear to be glossy. Awesome pictures Mac. 0 -

/|\ Nate, my favorite is CF that has orange peel texture, not as pretty as glossy but great grip!
PS inside handle facing the blade the CF is pretty glossy.0 -

Heck of a franken-Grip you got there, APBT 0 -
Thanks! That DLC blade coating and those scales deserve each other. I've been thinking about getting stand offs and removing the cf spacer. I dunno... The spacer is nice too.

Cool picture BM. I wonder if they'll offer the rumored 943-1 with a coated blade option?0 -

/|\ Don't let PO see this pic of "Silver Class" elegant, he drools enough as it is over regular stuff. Yes hope the 943-1 is finally going to be produced. Also hope BKC produces more "Silver Class " spokes to your wheel.0 -
