unknown Benchmade 525
I have a Benchmade 525 USA made knife, but I am having a little trouble identifying it online. When I look up the 525 it comes up as the mini-presidio, but my knife does not look like this. My knife is an older model with a linerlock and a carabiner clip on the back. The reason I am interested is because the carabiner clip has broken and I am wondering how to go about getting it fixed. Any information would be helpful. If a picture would help I could post one as well

With carabiner clip I know only 450BC1 Park Avenue from Terzuola 0 -
Might have the wrong model number because the 525 has never come with a liner lock. 0 -
I hope you guys can view the picture. It definitely is marked 525. I guess I am not sure if it even is a carabiner clip on the back, I just assumed it was. 0 -
Sorry it looks like a fake Benchmade. 0 -
I would think so too. A 525 liner lock?quote:Originally posted by fastlt1nos:

yup. that's no Benchmade, which is why it broke

No problems with it. It is a bit cumbersome to edc it. More of a specialty knife, tool box knife maybe.
Feel free to ask about your current or further Benchmades here. We can help you authenticate them.0 -

Just buy in the USA from a reputable dealer (store) and you shouldnt have any problems.0 -
Has anyone purchased from knifecenter.com? Are they reputable in your opinion? 0 -

Yes , but to be fair ......and maybe a Tad cheaper ,
I,d go with knifeworks , GP knives or new gram knives
But yes KC is a good dealer (reputable)0 -
I believe most USA dealers to be good.
Watch out for china or hong kong based places.0 -
the 8600 is a knife I think you really want to try before you buy. If you can find a local knife store or somewhere to handle one. They're pretty big and strangely shaped for a pocket. 0 -
