    Jason, +1, but Bill +10.

Also, I'm going to take that non-denial of its existence and impending arrival, as a confirmation rather of its existence, and.....almost immediate arrival?!?

Jason I like the anticipation after the green light for go is lit.
The possibility of another forum knife is another great example.
Are we spinning our wheels, wasting time?

Anticipation = it's enroute and will be in your hand in five days, four days, three days. . . .

Hey, that looks pretty nice. I'm not a Griptilian fan, so this won't be one I'm tempted to buy (thank God). Nice, though....

I saw this and the only question I had was...
How many is Po going to get?

Also in M390 like the 551-1702? OK, I guess I'll get another grip.

    I'm so conflicted...

I have long lusted after a MDP Grip in M390 and I LOVE the black oxide deep carry clip. However, I don't like flat Grip scales.

I wonder if I could find someone to trade me a set of sculpted G10 Benchmade scales for those carbon fibers?

FWIW, I have the 551-1702 in hand and the mircata is sculpted more like a regular grip with barrel spacers and it is $30 cheaper than the carbon fiber with the same M390.

The 551-1 doesn't have full liners?

Just cked mine out. All this time I thought it did.

Will have to pick one up.
This one has been asked for since the dawn of time. Limited run of 1200? Un limited run? Thanks.

    Jason,
Will the barrel spacers from the 551-1 fit this 551-1701?

I've zero Grips this one may break through.

Are the barrel spacers truly brass or gold anodized Al?

Brass paired with CF seems like an oxymoron to me ( like a brass ship's bell attached to the nose of a stealth fighter)

    It doesn't say Limited Edition
    Nor numbered.
    Just Exclusive

    The same as the -1702

The mini grips have full, nestled liners. The full sized grips have partial, nestled liners.

And this is a must buy. Maybe not a must keep, but I'll have to have it in hand first. Only have one flat slab griptilian, and it's cool, but it's bulky and heavy. Rarely sees pocket time as a result. CF should be a different story as far as weight, and the contoured handle looks more svelte. We'll see when it's in hand.

And this looks to be a dealer exclusive.... Jason, can you confirm?

My story exactly. A regular Grip is .61" thick. And I only get a 3.46" blade length with that. Too bulky. An 806 is only .50" thick. A Grip sure is comfortable in the hand, though!

How hard would it be to get different barrel spacers? The brass is not doing it for me but the rest of the knife is perfect.

They're interchangeable barrel spacers, yes. And they are truly brass, as well.

I think ya gotta see it up close and personal. They look hot.
